SONNET: Sparrows

as sparrows’ wings flutter
they blow the humid air
into the Earth:
it breathes deeply,
sending its undying bliss
into the atmosphere
and above the stars,
above the little sparrows’ heads.

they point their eyes
to God and Jesus almighty
who look down on them
with gleeful satisfaction:
their creations nesting
in the endless clouds.
