when twenty becomes old

and three becomes five as my parents age

years in six like their son in twenty-one did

i wonder if three five and six will be enough

to make their uncle something less:

minus one (still inutero) times two

will make me up to twenty-five

when the ticks of seventy-two are enough

to make me want the twenty-one i had
